"In the image of God he created them." Genesis 1:27 We are excited to announce the theme of this year's spring undergrad retreat is Theology of the Body! We hope you will join us in getting away from campus for the weekend and learning more about what it means to be created in the image of God.
Who is this retreat for? This retreat is for undergraduate college students. Where will we be staying? Spring Retreat will take place at St. Francis Retreat Center (Bethany House) in Dewitt, MI, less than 20 minutes from MSU. Participants will share a room and bathroom with another person of the same sex. I don't have a car. How will I get there? We will carpool from St. John Student Center on Friday evening. Get yourself to St. John's, and we will get you the rest of the way! When does the retreat begin and end? We will begin gathering by 5:00pm on Friday, February 14 at St. John Student Center before carpooling to the retreat center. The retreat will end at Noon on Sunday, February 16, so you will still have plenty of time to get homework done! Participants are required to stay at the retreat center for the duration of the retreat. If you have a conflict that would not allow you to attend the full retreat, please contact Anna to see if accommodations can be made for your schedule. Does the retreat include Sunday Mass? Yes! You will be able to fulfill your obligation on retreat. What will we be doing? Getting away from the busyness and noise of campus, meeting awesome people, and growing closer to Christ together! Think: inspiring talks, small group discussion, sacraments, games, bonfire, and more! What do I need to bring? We will send a simple packing list closer to the weekend of retreat, after you register. What does the price include? The $60 retreat fee includes all the content, comfortable housing, and meals Friday night through Sunday morning.
Are scholarships available? Yes, a limited number of scholarships are available for up to half the price. Fill out the application here.
